Salma Hayek is candid in her latest interview gushing over her lifelong friendship with Angelina Jolie and revealing the secrets of her evergreen youth. The star shares that she is not into exercising but the magic to her health is actually ‘meditation.’
“I really believe it is. People say it’s exercising. I think it’s meditation,” she shared. “You have to find your way. For me, exercising is hard… It’s really, really difficult to have the discipline to do it. But meditation is a walk in the park, because it’s my own form of it,” she told ET.
Meditation does not have to involve a thousand steps as the movie star says, “You sit in a moment with yourself, that’s already meditation” adding, “But I do it every day.”

As per a meta-analysis of mindfulness-based interventions in 2015, meditation aka mindful interventions can help decrease depressive symptoms, anxiety, and stress levels along with enhancing quality of life and physical functioning.
Another study in the Journal of the American Medical Association reveals that veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder who joined an eight-week mindfulness course experienced a significant decrease in aggressive symptoms compared with those given group talk therapy.
